“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”

Romans 1:20
Come let us help you find the shell of a lifetime!

Captains Jeff and Tammy Everts

Captain Jeff Everts

Captain Jeff has been boating his entire life, growing up in a small town in Northwestern Wisconsin, he spent most of his days on the water during the summer months fishing for muskie, walleye and largemouth bass. Over the years he also became an avid fly fisherman ( steelhead being his favorite) and enjoys tying his own flies. He purchased and owned his own restaurant for 16 years at the age of 21 and knows what it means to have a strong work ethic and how to treat customers. After he met and married Tammy in 2007, they began vacationing here in SW Florida. After several years of exploring, fishing, boating, shelling and learning all about the ecosystems down here it was decided by both they would relocate their family to SW Florida and begin a new adventure in paradise! Captain Jeff’s love of for the outdoors and conservation, specifically related to fishing and the waters here in SW Florida, led him to obtain his Captains License. He is also certified in CPR/First Aid. His faith in Christ is the cornerstone of everything he does and he is actively involved with his church in Estero, Florida. Most days off he spends with Tammy and their son Finn fishing, snorkeling and shelling. Jeff and Tammy also are a host family for a local organization called Safe Families of SW Florida in which they help mentor families in crisis by providing a safe home for children during times where it is necessary for them to be placed outside the home. His extensive experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the waters of Southwest Florida ensure you have a wonderful time.

Captain Tammy Everts

Growing up in Minnesota, Tammy has always had a passion for the outdoors and the water. Most every summer was spent at her family cabin in Brainerd, Minnesota and that is where she learned how to hunt, fish, boat and love exploring nature. Tammy knew how to drive a boat before she knew how to drive a car and has a lifetime of experience on the water. She has always loved hunting for agates on the North Shore of Lake Superior and its no surprise that her shelling addiction quickly followed when she began vacationing here in SW Florida as an adult. In addition to running a tour company she is also a stay at home mom who homeschools her son Finn. You may see him on an occasional tour as he makes an excellent First Mate and has an incredible ability to find/identify most shells here in SW Florida! She is also a tutor for a local homeschool co-op called Classical Conversations and has a passion for working with young people and educating them on unique marine life and ecosystem we have here in Florida. Tammy is also involved at her church in Estero, Florida volunteering at Guest Services and in her spare time enjoys cooking, travelling, shelling, birding, reading, fishing and is a certified scuba diver. Due to her love of anything to do with the water and nature, Tammy decided to obtain her Captain’s License in 2017. She is also certified in CPR/First Aid.

First Mate Molly

Molly is a registered nurse from Cincinnati who left her three year position in the intensive care unit for the sun-kissed sands of Southwest Florida. Molly has been shelling in the Marco Island and 10,000 Islands area for years, and is a self-proclaimed “crazy shell lady”. She loves to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for shells with everyone. Her favorite shell to find is the Gaudy Nautica.

When Molly is not out shelling, she is a homebody that loves crocheting blankets, watching original Star Trek, and cooking (with a glass of wine). She is owned by two wire fox terriers named Lucy and Desi. Molly obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from THE Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!) and is studying for her certification in critical care. She has extensive medical experience, including first aid and advanced cardiac life support/CPR.

Our prayer for each and every one of you is to experience the Majesty of our Creator in a way that possibly you haven’t in some time. Letting the waves wash away life’s cares and worries, feel the sand between your toes and feel the warm sunshine kiss your shoulders. Slow down-breathe in the salty air, listen to the gulls and Osprey chirp overhead as you meander through mangrove roots & sandy beaches looking for the elusive Junonia, Rose Murex or Chocolate Alphabet Cones the 10,000 Islands are known for.

“If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even then Your hand will guide me and Your strength will support me.” – Psalm 139:9-10

The Bible says that God has left evidence of His character in all of Creation that we might have a relationship with Him. It is our goal at Treasure Seekers to guide our guests in an experience that will be an adventure in learning about the unique ecosystem and marine life we have here as we explore God’s magnificent creation. So dive in! Get your feet wet! We pray that your life will be forever changed as you take the time to open up your senses and experience nature in a new way. May you always have shells in your pockets and sand between your toes!
